Album is made and the band is stoked!

We recently completed our milk at the studio and our now anxiously awaiting our CD release gig at Sammy's in Rexburg on July 16th! Below is a video promo our producer Austin made for the show. The song in the background is "Somewhere an Angel," one of the songs that will be featured on the album. Check it out!

The Album is Almost "Full Grown"

The band has been hard at work recording at Milk N' Honey Records' studio trying to get the album complete ASAP. There are very few tracks left to be recorded and then some finishing touches will need to be made, but we anticipate that all will be finished within the next couple weeks. Along with recording tracks, we recently went out and took several pics for the album. We aren't sure yet which will become the album cover, but they all turned out great thanks to the photography skills of the ever-so-talented Tate Sexton. Below is the sample picture Tate sent us.
In other album news, we have officially declared that the album will be named "Writing on the Wall." Not to be confused with the 1999 Destiny's Child album "the Writing's on the Wall." All seven tracks will be 100% original and 100% our own sound. No corporate sell-out sounds here!
The completion of "Writing on the Wall" will be celebrated on July 16th with a CD RELEASE PARTY at Sammy's Rexburg. Joining us will be our friends Austin Dixon and Mike Paine. I'm going to highly recommend that you check out their tunes and come see them play with us!
On a not album-related topic, the band has recently had a boom in new songs and riffs. I myself recently wrote a song called "Full Grown." I wrote it after I found out that an old flame from when I was younger had gotten engaged. Before you slap your forehead and say "Oh great! A sappy sad song!" you should know that it isn't. The lyrics describe the feelings I had that day looking back and realizing that this girl my age was now in a much more grown-up situation than me. I made sure that the music sounded more reminiscent and hopeful than sad and sappy. The band anticipates that "Full Grown" and the other songs we have recently begun work on will make great additions to our set list!

The Process has Begun!

Stephen here!
Last Monday we officially began the recording process for our new EP! It's been a lot of fun so far. We haven't completed any songs yet, but we're off to a good start! Austin Dixon from Milk and Honey Records proved that he knows his stuff! The tracks we have made so far have excellent quality and we're very excited to see the end results!
As for the album title and cover, we're still working on it. At the moment we're leaning towards "Writing on the Wall" for the title. If you have any suggestions for our album title or cover, please post them on our facebook page!
Below are some pics of us in the recording process.
Me, Stephen, looking attentive while recording a bass track.

Discussing the order in which we will record tracks.

Jarret listening to the track he just recorded while Austin adjusts the audio.

Chaz and Austin listening as Jarret records a track and Stephen takes a picture.

That's all for now! More soon as we continue the recording process! Thanks for checking us out!

RECORDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Evicting Eden recently made and agreement with Milk n' Honey Records to record a full length album! Austin, who will be producing the album, seems just as excited about the job as we do! The album will feature 6 of our original songs. We are really hoping that these recordings will help spice up our facebook and myspace pages and get the word out about our band!
We are still thinking about what to call the album. If you have any suggestions, feel free to write a comment on our facebook page!
We will be using this blog to keep people updated on how the recording process is going, when the album will be complete, and also to announce upcoming shows.
If you have a facebook, myspace, or reverbnation page, feel free to add us!
Thanks for the support!
